I have read in an internet forum Pinoy Exchange that some
were asking about Robert Sanz. The 6’2”
guy who played for Philippine Christian University Blue Dolphins in the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) together with key players Jason Castro & Gabby Espinas who all played BIG and helped the team enter the NCAA finals year 2004. Tagged as 'Big Shot' Rob he was adjudged as the Finals MVP for NCAA season 80.

His glory days didn’t
stop there as he played in the Philippine Basketball League for teams like Happee-PCU Teeth Masters, Addict Mobile, Harbour Centre Port Masters on
the years to follow and joined the RP team who played in Brunei middle
of 2006.

He got propitious when he finally played as professional baller for the
33rd season of Philippine Basketball Association year 2007 as part of the pool-of-stars of
Purefoods Tender Juicy Giants.
While he was not able to renew his PBA contract,
he joined Liga Pilipinas, a regional basketball league
in the Philippines
and took part in teams like Laguna Trace Stallions, Laguna Treston and Laguna
Golden Lions accordingly.

Sanz, a guard who can shoot from the outside
and drive to the basket, was brought in to boost (Indonesia) Satra Muda’s
scoring options during the Asean Basketball League last 2010.

He
also got lucky to be picked by the Filipino-American Association of Bahrain to
play together with the PBA Legends in Bahrain July of 2011.

As career
opportunities keep knocking his door, he flew to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia last
October of the same year (2011) to join the 4th AC Development Cup.
And so, to answer your question: Where is Rob
Sanz? At most recent, he is again playing in Asean Basketball League as one of
the Asian (Filipino) import of the team Vietnam Saigon Heat in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
